The Republican Party is likely going to nominate Donald Trump for re-election in 2020. And so, without a contested primary for the Republican Party, the only interesting race is among the Democrats to see who will face Trump in November.
Jon Ivy is registered with a preference for the Republican Party– he can’t vote in the upcoming Democratic Party’s presidential primary election. However, he wants to give his full support to Bernie Sanders for the Democratic Party nomination. Ivy’s going to knock doors for Bernie, make calls, and do what he can to help the Sanders campaign.
Statement from Jon Ivy
I joined the Republican Party to help fight back against the far-right and work to make sure fascists and racists don’t control either of our two major parties. Bernie Sanders is a progressive who is taking on the establishment, working to dismantle Washington politics and bring about a political revolution in our country. He’s exactly what the Democratic Party needs. And he’s the strongest candidate to defeat Trump in the General Election. We must ensure that white nationalists do not control our federal government for another four years. And so I support Bernie Sanders for President and will work to help him get elected.
